MMP Staffing Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team. The OT will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic programs to help individuals improve their ability to perform daily activities. The ideal candidate will work with clients across the lifespan, including children, adults, and seniors, to promote independence and enhance quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Client Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, emotional, and environmental needs. Use standardized assessment tools to evaluate clients' abilities and develop personalized treatment plans. Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy programs based on assessment findings. Use therapeutic techniques to improve clients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living activities. Adapt environments, tasks, and materials to enhance clients' performance and independence. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide therapeutic activities and exercises to enhance clients' functional abilities. Utilize assistive devices and technology to support clients' participation in daily activities. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes. Client and Family Education: Educate clients and their families about therapeutic techniques, strategies, and home exercises. Provide training on the use of adaptive equipment and modifications to support clients' independence. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Prepare and submit necessary reports to comply with regulatory and organizational requirements. Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and coordinate services. Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the field of occupational therapy through continuing education and professional development activities. Maintain licensure and certification requirements. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Certification and Licensure: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of [State]. Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational therapy preferred. Experience working with a diverse client population, including children, adults, and seniors, in various settings (e.g., schools, clinics, hospitals). Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
