Join a dynamic team responsible for developing, recommending and implementing strategies for identifying, assessing, measuring, monitoring, reporting, avoiding, transferring, mitigating and monitoring credit risk. The Team also maintains the Bank's credit risk management policy and procedure documentation.

Essential Duties

Ability to independently review and identify related risks of internally developed or vendor provided credit models and applications, as well as synthesize corresponding risk adjustments and controlsIdentifies and communicates to management and applicable business units on key emerging economic trends that may have a negative influence on the health of members and counterparties.Identifies growing risk exposures that are changing the risk profiles of members and counterparties and recommends necessary changes to the Bank's risk management policies, and procedures to protect the Bank.Produces credit analysis of members, counterparties, mortgage insurers, vendors, mortgage servicers, housing associates, etc. Performs detailed analyses and formulates recommendations with little to no guidance.Trains and collaborates with junior analysts to write comprehensive, detailed and accurate credit reports and to identify emerging economic industry trends that affect member and counterparty risk profiles.Tracks credit risk trends affecting members and counterparties as well as an economic analysis of domestic and global issues also affecting the Bank.Monitors exposures relative to established limits to ensure compliance, notifying senior management of any breaches.Key Relationships

Internal: Regular interaction with Capital Markets Group, Investment Portfolio Management, Bank Operations Representatives, Financial Accounting and Calling Officers.External: Regular interaction with Bank customers, regulators and NRSRO analysts.Required Experience

15+ years in Banking industry or equivalent performing Financial/Economic/Credit Analysis and report preparation including application of CAMELS framework for assessing credit risk.Knowledge of global financial markets and the banking industry, including the current state and emerging trends in the regulatory environment, NRSRO rating systems, etc.Understanding of domestic and foreign banking systems and macro/micro factors influencing bank risk profiles.Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite of Products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Experience working with Databases and Database Management Tools, Data Mining (Querying) a plus.MBA/MS/BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar field (preferred)

Salary range - $150,000 - $175,000
