JOB DESCRIPTION:Member of a cross-functional team responsible for Oracle and/or MongoDB database administration working on IC Security ServicesTasking will include, but is not limited to:Allocate system storage and plan for future storage requirementsCreate and maintain primary database storage structuresCreate primary database objects (tables, views, indexes) once developers have designed an application and assist developers in the design if requiredModify the database structure, as neededMonitor and optimize the database performancePlan backup and recovery methodologyBackup and restore the database as requiredApply Database updates and patchesMigrate databases to new hardware as requiredWrite PL/SQL stored procedures and triggersWrite and maintain shell scriptsRecommend new architectures, designs, and strategies for the futureDESIRED SKILLS:
Must be able to work in a collaborative environmentMust be able to work with minimal supervisionDatabase Administration 8+ years (Oracle or MongoDB)PL/SQL 5+ yearsSQL 5+ yearsKnowledgeable of large object (LOB) data structuresImplementation and management of partitioned objectsExperience with RDBMS management via Cloud ControlExperience with DB architecture, designs, and strategiesExperience with Database performance tuningExperience with PERL, Shell scripting, ETL processing, Oracle RACWilling to take on a wide variety of taskingEDUCATON:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines is required4+ years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, for a total of 12 years8+ years of software engineering experience is required3+ years' work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains is required** You must have TS/SCI Clearance for this position **** A POLYGRAPH is required for this position **
