Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Client may call off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without compensation for the canceled hours. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active IL license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC Must-Have: - General Emergency Department experience with combined Adult/Pediatric cases- Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response skills- IV Therapy/Phlebotomy skills- Medication skills, including Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications- Neurological case skills- Orthopedic skills- Pediatric case skills- Psychiatric case skills- Respiratory case skills- Professional skills including Isolation Precautions and Triage- Cerner experience Job Description: - Work every other weekend- Handle a daily average census of 175 in a 56-bed Emergency Department- Manage interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure- Perform 12 lead EKG- Administer blood products; perform phlebotomy; start IVs- Manage and administer continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and procedural sedation- Handle cases involving CVA, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury- Manage and apply orthopedic splints- Address pediatric conditions including abdominal pain, asthma, head injury, identifying/reporting abuse, infections, poison ingestion, respiratory infections, seizures, and skin disorders- Handle psychiatric cases such as acute psychosis, drug overdose, managing violent behavior, and suicidal patients- Perform chest tube insertion/management and intubation for respiratory cases- Participate in necessary training and orientation sessions, totaling 16 hours at the start
