A bit about us:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all tax-related activities, including compliance, reporting, planning, and advising. You will need to have a strong understanding of tax, financial analysis, tax preparation, and financial accounting. Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring accurate reporting and timely filing.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify tax savings opportunities and provide strategic tax planning advice.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax law and regulations, interpreting their implications for the company, and advising management accordingly.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors, managing audits and disputes.
- Provide leadership to the tax department, mentoring staff, and ensuring the highest standards of performance and professional development.
- Manage the company's international and indirect tax responsibilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide tax advisory services to other departments within the company, contributing to strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Develop and implement effective tax accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (such as CPA, ACCA, or CTA) would be an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of tax law, financial accounting, corporate tax, international tax, and indirect taxation.
- Proven experience in tax preparation, tax compliance, tax planning, and financial audits.
- Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in tax accounting software and other relevant IT systems.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and changes in tax law.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
