POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Program Operations Officer will manage the Program Services team and lead key departments within the agency. This role will involve the development and execution of established goals with the Executive Management Teams. The Chief Program Operations Officer will maintain a high-performance environment that fosters quality services, excellent consumer and stakeholder satisfaction, and enhanced employee morale while ensuring active and visible representation of Waystone HHS internally and within the larger business community, developing partnerships beneficial to Waystones mission and operations.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

Directly supervise the Program Services Team and other management positions as assigned

Ensure continued sustainability of program services and, where applicable, the growth of existing services and the development of new services.

Direct and ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and accreditation processes

Direct and approve the preparation and modification of department budgets, ensuring positive financial performance

Develop and maintain positive relationships with funding and referral sources, peer organizations, and other key community stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS :

A Masters Degree in Business, Public Health, or Human Services is strongly preferred. Bachelors Degree in Business, Psychology, or a related field is required.

Minimum of 10-12 years of business management experience at the senior level across a range of business disciplines, preferably in human service delivery, working with individuals with disabilities, and other life challenges

Strong business acumen and experience with operational processes; experience managing budgets

Experience managing in a union environment is preferred

Proficiency in related technology platforms

The ability to think strategically, listen well, and communicate effectively, both in writing and orally

Must have strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to build trust among a wide range of constituents

Knowledge of state funding agency systems, policies, and regulations.

Valid Drivers License with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience
