Job Overview:

The Director/Vice President of Child and Family Services at Waystone Health & Human Services will spearhead the development, management, and strategic direction of comprehensive programs aimed at supporting children, youth, families, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is pivotal in fostering environments where families and individuals can thrive through preventative, ongoing, and acute support services. The VP/Director will ensure that all services align with Waystone's mission of promoting health, human development, and community integration.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Program Development and Management:

Design, implement, and evaluate programs ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and addressing community needs.

Leadership and Team Development:

Lead a diverse team of professionals, including social workers, therapists, and administrative staff, fostering a culture of professional growth, inclusivity, and adherence to Waystone's values.

Strategic Planning:

Develop strategic plans to enhance service delivery, expand program offerings, and integrate innovative family support approaches. Collaborate across departments for holistic service provision.

Community Engagement:

Engage with local communities, schools, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to build partnerships and represent Waystone in advocacy roles.

Maintain a productive working relationship with DDS and external authorities.

Resource Management:

Manage budgets, grants, and resources effectively, seeking funding opportunities to support and grow services.

Policy and Compliance:

Stay informed on laws, regulations, and best practices affecting child and family services, ensuring program compliance and ethical standards.

Outcome Measurement:

Implement systems for tracking program outcomes, using data to improve services and report to stakeholders.

Advocacy:

Advocate for the rights of children, families, and individuals with disabilities at various levels.

Clinical/Programmatic Duties:

Oversee service delivery, review and assign referrals, assist in developing and implementing Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs), and supervise program resources.

Administrative Duties:

Monitor program compliance with agency policies and regulations, coordinate evaluations, and facilitate team meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree required. Masters preferred

At least 5 years in Human Services, with 2 years in intellectual and developmental disabilities, including supervisory and administrative roles.

Knowledge of home community-based services which support children and adults with disabilities and their families.

Exceptional communication and problem solving skills

Valid drivers license and a minimum of one year of driving experience

Ability to travel as needed within the service area
