In the L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division, we change people's lives by creating the ‘beauty of health’ with our iconic brands (La Roche-Posay, Vichy, CeraVe, Skin Ceuticals). With the most prescribed brands by dermatologists and other specialists, our division is maintaining a double-digit growth worldwide for the last 5 years which is fueled by +7.5k employees around the world.
A Day in the LifeEstablish and direct the development and implementation of the brand marketing plans and budget to help achieve the category volume, profit and spending objectives. Leverage in-depth knowledge of the elements and drivers of the marketing mix to develop and adjust marketing plans in-line with the US brand strategy and in close collaboration with the global brand leads (DMI) through a joint partnership and leveraging synergies where appropriate.
Requirements
12-15 years of progressive Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or related marketing/brand management experience.
Marketing experience to include brand positioning, strategy development, consumer insight generation, direct to consumer advertising, consumer promotion and integrated marketing communications development. A deep understanding of consumer centricity and omni-channel activations are a must.
Marketing experience in the digital world, (i.e., social media, e-commerce, analytics, on-line) highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience working with the account teams, the trade which contributed to profitable brand growth. An in-depth understanding CPG/FMCG and customer landscape is a must.
Demonstrated experience developing strategic agency partnerships which contributed to long term brand health.
Demonstrated experience in providing marketing thought leadership—taking consumer insight and using it to drive thinking and strategic decisions.
Solid financial acumen, budget management experience and a strong ability to utilize judgment and solid thinking ability to analyze complex issues and recommend clear direction within the big picture needs of the brand.
Excellent communication skills with ability to present effectively, foster open communication, listening effectively to others and prepare effective written communications and presentations.
Strong leadership skills and a strong ability to cultivate good relationships/networks and actively fostering teamwork across the US and DMI (global marketing).
Ability to manage the performance and develop the appropriate skills of others, which should include encouraging diversity of thinking while motivating and coaching others.
Ability to plan for the short-term and long-term, and manage executions within a strategic framework.
Ability to self-manage and self-motivate. Acting with integrity, and demonstrating entrepreneurial pursuits.
Demonstrated experience in executing and delivering brand leadership in a similar brand management role with P&L accountability.
ResponsibilitiesThis role will be managing 2 Direct marketing reports.
Effectively plan to ensure that Gross, Net and Profit targets are met, by overseeing the execution of brand and trade strategies by recognizing the profitability and revenue impact of all business opportunities, and develop an understanding of the meaning and interrelationships of key financial indicators, while being able to readily identify gaps in budget and profit plans.
Determine resource allocations (financial and people) across the assigned franchise(s) to optimize overall brand performance, while anticipating risks to brand/segment performance and ensuring that contingency plans are developed to manage through them nationally.
Develop and foster a close working relationship with the trade (sell-in team) while collaborating with sales leadership to translate the national brand strategy into customer specific plans and execute those plans in-line with the class of trade and customer objectives for assigned retailer(s).
Manage, coach and develop direct report(s) and cross-functional peers to deliver brand objectives while clearly communicating standards of performance.
Manage and lead multiple cross-functional teams to execute brand initiatives and implement plans. The brand lead will also need to ensure the brand strategy is communicated, understood and implemented by all cross-functional groups.
Model leadership behavior not only for the Brand team, but also the division and cross-functional partners/organizations.
Develop and support the strategic brand plans, leveraging current and future consumer & customer trends as well as in-depth knowledge of competitive landscape to build brand equity.
What We OfferSalary Range: $144,800– $210,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
