We are seeking an expert and detail oriented individual to join our Performance and Attribution team to lead the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) compliance function and oversee the firm’s GIPS compliance program. This role involves coordinating with various teams including investor relations, portfolio management, compliance, investment operations, and fund accounting teams as well as leading the verification process with external auditors. Additionally, the role will have some responsibilities outside of GIPS compliance, including performance-related regulatory reporting and strategic projects.Reporting relationships

GIPS Compliance Management
Ensure the firm’s adherence to the GIPS standards in marketing materials, RFPs, and DDQsMonitor changes to the GIPS standards and update policies and procedures as necessaryCollaborate with the compliance team to ensure overall regulatory compliance and risk managementGIPS Composite Management
Oversee the creation, maintenance, and review of composite definitionsEnsure composites are constructed in compliance with GIPS requirements and accurately reflect the firm’s investment strategiesMaintain the list and description of composite and limited distribution pooled fund investment strategies and the firm’s excluded account listReporting and Analysis
Calculate composite level returns and related statistics for the firm’s compositesPrepare GIPS Reports (time-weighted and money-weighted) for the firm’s composites and limited distribution pooled fundsPerform periodic outlier analysis of monthly portfolio returns within each compositeFulfill ad hoc investor relations and portfolio management requests for internal analysis and RFPs/DDQsVerification and Examinations
Coordinate annual GIPS verification with external auditorsPrepare and provide necessary documentation for annual GIPS verificationAddress any findings or recommendations from the verification process and implement corrective actions as necessaryTraining and Education
Provide training to compliance and investor relations teams on the GIPS standards and performance reporting requirementsAct as a primary point of contact for GIPS-related inquiries and guidance within the firmNon-GIPS Responsibilities
Supervise collection and validation of returns included in the performance tables for management company’s quarterly 10-Q filing and earnings presentation and annual 10-K filingCalculate quarterly asset level track records for Direct Lending and Alternative Credit verticalsAssist with planning and executing strategic projects such as performance due diligence for acquisition targets, onboarding assets from acquisitions, and integrating non-supported business unitsQualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a business-related or quantitative field preferred (e.g., economics, statistics, mathematics, finance, accounting, etc.)Candidate with CFA charter and/or CIPM designation is desirable. If not a holder of a CFA charter or CIPM designation, extensive practical experience leading GIPS compliance at a GIPS-compliance investment managerCommitment to pursue CIPM designation for candidates without CFA charter or CIPM designationExperience Required:
10+ years of working with the GIPS standardsShown experience with GIPS compliance and verification processesVerifier-related experience is a plusGeneral Requirements:
Strong understanding of the GIPS standards and performance measurement methodologies, including basic portfolio accountingExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyOwnership of work with a high focus on serviceStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and educate othersAbility to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlinesStrong fixed-income product knowledge, including leveraged loans, high yield bonds, and CLO debt/equityWell-versed in the SEC Marketing Rule, the SEC Private Fund Advisor Rule, and FINRA 20-21Proficient in Microsoft ExcelExperience using Eagle Performance is desirableBasic understanding of SQL, Python, and creating Power BI dashboards a plusCompensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.$160,000-$180,000The firm also offers robust Benefits offerings.
