A leading global company is seeking a Senior Assistant for Rail Fleet operations at their downtown Houston office.Senior Assistant, Rail Fleet Overview:The Senior Assistant, Rail Fleet supports the Manager of Fleet and Operations in managing the companys rail fleet. Key responsibilities include coordinating with various departments, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining records, processing payments, and optimizing rail asset utilization.Daily AccountabilitiesCommunication & Coordination:

Assist in scheduling and monitoring railcar shipments with customers and suppliers. Collaborate with marketing managers on contract execution and performance.Logistics Support:

Aid in scheduling railcars and coordinating with logistics teams for other transport modes (vessel/barge/truck).Records Maintenance:

Keep accurate records of railcar movements, inspections, and maintenance, and update internal databases.Issue Resolution:

Identify operational challenges (e.g., scheduling conflicts) and escalate them to the Manager.Payment Processing:

Manage payments for rail freight services, resolve discrepancies, and maintain detailed transaction records.Documentation Handling:

Process Bills of Lading and manage invoicing for shipped orders, ensuring accuracy for month-end reporting.Credit Line Management:

Track and manage credit lines, apply for renewals, and maintain documentation with the controlling department.Data Support:

Provide data to product managers, sales support, and other logistics personnel as needed.Position:
