Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU - Float to Medical Surgical Telemetry and Emergency Department Holds Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights; 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Positive attitude with strong teamwork skills - Proficiency in managing vasoactive drips - Strong Medical & Surgical ICU experience Job Description: - Basic Dysrhythmia Exam required prior to contract; 2 attempts allowed - Complete SIMs Lab for skills like Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes - Expected to float between ICU and Medical Surgical Telemetry units, including Emergency Department Holds - Comfort with working in both ICU and non-ICU settings (up to 50% in non-ICU environment) - EMR System: Cerner - Interpret EKGs using Phillips Telemetry - Regular interaction with vasoactive drips, vent weaning protocols, and hemodynamic monitoring - Capable of handling diagnoses such as Sepsis, unstable CHF, Neuro events (non-complex Seizures), and various Cardiac conditions - Procedures include bronchoscopy, central line insertions, intubations, and more - Adaptation to working independently with resource nurse and tech support available - Involved in patient care for conditions allowing transition between different care levels as needed - Participate in educational activities for unique policies or equipment used in the facility - Navy scrubs required ?????? dress code - Facility may cancel shifts up to 3 times per contract with possible payment arrangements
