Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares journal entries, worksheets, reconciliations and other documentation to ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and are complete.Prepares reports, including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows, statements of partners' capital and footnotes and other reports as assigned.Prepares company projections as assigned.Assists and advises staff, including accounts payable and payroll, as assigned.Assists in the preparation of federal and state filings.Assists with audits by both internal and external auditors.Completes special projects and assists other accounting/finance staff as requested.Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and provides outstanding guest service while performing assigned duties.Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of the Rivers Casino - Des Plaines ICS.Other duties may be assigned.Job Requirements:
BA in Accounting or related field strongly preferredExcellent research and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to develop key relationships across all departments.Excellent organization and planning skills.Excellent knowledge in various computers programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).Budget and mathematical skills.Flexibility to work independently with minimal supervision and works effectively in groups.Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.Strong work ethic with the ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, bending and lifting.
