When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.Job Description:Transplant Nephrology Lahey Hospital and Medical Center Join Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington Massachusetts as a full-time transplant nephrologist in the Division of Transplantation in the Department of Surgery. Lahey has 334 inpatient hospital beds and is a Level 1 trauma center. It is located 15 miles northwest of Boston with nearby access to Cape Cod, beaches, northern New England and outdoor sports, and all the activities that Boston has to offer. There are over 450 combined patients on our kidney transplant waiting list and in the evaluation process. Approximately 50-66 kidney transplants are performed every year, of which approximately 25 are living donor kidney transplants, including enrollment through the National Kidney Registry program (NKR). We have excellent outcomes for our donors and recipients. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of 2 transplant nephrologists, 5 transplant surgeons, 2 surgical fellows, 5 hepatologists and one hepatology fellow. Call is shared between our faculty of 11 nephrologists and transplant nephrologists. We have a strong multidisciplinary team consisting of advanced practitioners, pharmacy, nutrition, social work, financial coordinators, and nurse coordinators. We also provide nephrology services for our busy liver transplant program, and we have a team-based care model with collaborative approach to care.
