Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic

Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical assistance requests
• Deliver high quality patient care, treatment, and customer service
• Opportunities to work on Critical Care Transport unit and at multiple Special Events

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assess call situations and determine best course of action
• Utilize medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced medical care
• Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements
• Communicate with receiving facility and patients to provide information and assurance
• Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management
• Document activities with regard to patient care and billing
• Communicate verbally with patients and significant others in various environments

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver's license and ambulance driver's license
• State EMT certification and CPR card
• Completion of required ICS courses

Salary Range: $27.04 - $31.38 per hour DOE (This rate applies to 12-hour shift and averages 42 hours per week).
