The PositionClinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.The Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS) is hiring to fill Clinical Social Worker 2 positions. The positions are located at Stein Forensic Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. The position requires a working knowledge of theories/principles of counseling and psychotherapy; symptoms, characteristics and treatment of mental illness, emotional and behavioral disorders; crises intervention techniques; case management practices and procedures; psycho-diagnostic techniques; laws governing abuse and neglect of clients. Ability to assess, develop and implement treatment plans and goals; write comprehensive evaluations, reports, and recommendations in a forensic hospital setting. Will coordinate and obtain community services for clients, actively participate on the treatment team and provide crisis intervention. Emphasis on utilizing the recovery model, formulating individualized treatment plans that lead to self-sufficiency. Ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards, as well as established laws, regulations and SNAMHS policies.
