candidates under supervision will have the skills and experience to perform routine repairs and maintenance of commercial boilers and chiller/HVAC mechanical systems, environmental control troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair, and chemical treatment of closed and open loop water systems. Responsibilities include the troubleshooting and repair of related controls, knowledge of rotating equipment, troubleshooting and repair of pumps and valves. Incumbents prepare budget requests for maintenance and equipment replacement; maintain records of system operating conditions, maintenance performed, and equipment malfunctions. Incumbents must be able to function as a lead worker for inmate crews on a regular basis and document inmate performance through completion of periodic performance reports.
