Description
The Library & Community Services Department has multiple immediate part-time vacancies for the City's Fall recreation programs and community events which specialize in serving the community.

THE POSITION:
Under immediate supervision, perform routine work assignments; assist recreation personnel with regular programs and special projects and the maintenance of facilities; serve as a custodian of equipment; perform related duties as required.
NOTE(S):
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good physical condition; ability to read and write the English language.
Ability to: Work cooperatively with others.
Examination Process
The Community Services Department has an immediate need to fill the position. Based upon review of applications received, those applicants who best meet the requirements indicated above will be referred to the department for consideration.

NOTE(S):
- These are part-time, non-benefited positions; weekly hours range from 10-19 hours.
- The City is looking for individuals available to work Monday through Friday mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights; this may include weekends and/or holidays.
- This Recruitment is for Fall 2024, but there is a possibility to extend the position depending on department needs.
- Issues athletic and game equipment.
- Assists in recreation programs.
- Prepares areas and facilities for activity and cleans up after program.
- Performs minor repair to athletic equipment.
- Assists recreation leaders in the capacity of ticket taker, sports official, scorekeeper.
- Helps to control groups in special events.
- Must be at least 16 years of age at time of application. Applicants less than age 18 must obtain a work permit prior to starting work. Work permits may be obtained through the school system.
