Associate Attorney - Litigation

A law firm specializing in tort litigation, construction, and employment law seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Pleasanton, CA office. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of civil litigation cases, including personal injury, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, landlord-tenant disputes, and construction defect cases. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience and a passion for working in a collaborative environment.Duties:Handle a variety of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, landlord-tenant disputes, and construction defect cases.Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.Analyze legal issues, identify case risks, and provide strategic counsel to clients.Requirements:3-5 years of litigation experience.Licensed to practice law in the state of California.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently while being an active member of a collaborative team.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar (or the ability to obtain admission).Skills:Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.Strong negotiation and litigation skills.High level of organization and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.Collaborative and supportive team culture.
