IntroductionAs a Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform our clients' data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes, and collaborating on product development. Work with best-in-class open source and visual tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options. Whether it's investigating patient trends or weather patterns, you will work to solve real-world problems for the industries transforming how we live.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with teams to construct usable data sets from various structured and unstructured sources, enabling data-driven decision-making.Develop and maintain Python scripting solutions to automate data collection, processing, and analysis tasks, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.Apply basic understanding or experience with predictive/prescriptive modeling techniques to derive insights from data.Work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts and solutions clearly.Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseDegree or coursework in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Statistics, or Engineering.Experience with programming/scripting in a language such as Python or Java.Experience with Git/GitHub.Familiar with Linux OS.Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseAbout Business Unit: IBM Systems helps IT leaders think differently about their infrastructure. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year.
