Assistant Professor of Theatre in Lighting and Scenic Design

The Department of Theatre at Susquehanna seeks an Assistant Professor of Theatre in Lighting and Scenic Design. The successful candidate will teach three courses each semester which may include Scenic Production (scenic and lighting practical application class), Scenic and Lighting Design, Introduction to Theatre, and a script analysis course. Co-curricular responsibilities include creation of lighting and scenic designs for the department’s five-show main stage season or supervision of student lighting and scenic designers, execution and implementation of scenic painting and lighting plots, and basic maintenance of lighting equipment. The successful candidate will be competent in computer-aided drafting and design software, scenic painting, and stage electrician skills.Required Qualifications:

MFA in Theatre with a concentration in lighting and/or scenic design is required.Preferred Qualifications:
