The Department of History at Susquehanna University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Latin American History. The successful candidate will teach three courses each semester, including Latin American surveys and upper-level courses in areas of their expertise. The successful candidate will exhibit active, student-centered teaching practices and promising scholarly potential.Minimum Requirements:A Ph.D. in Latin American history is required; ABD will be considered (degree completion required by August 2025).Preference will be given to candidates who specialize in race, diaspora, indigenous groups, sexuality and gender, or environmental impacts.Institutional support for faculty scholarship, student research assistance, and conference travel is available.
