seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in contemporaryU.S.History,with a specialty in labor and immigration history to begin fall 2025, pending final budgetary approval. We are especially interested in scholars who connect historical patterns and practices with contemporary debates about immigration, asylum, and climate related migration. Teaching responsibilities arethree classes (two preps)per semester. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses at all levels of our undergraduate curriculum including introductory courses in modern American history,intermediate survey courses, andadvanced seminars in one's specialty.Funding for this position is pending final budget approval.Candidates should have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service at the university level. We seek candidateswho will contribute to the University’s core curriculum priorities of writing across the curriculum, social justice, and interdisciplinarity.Successful candidate should expect to participate in at least one of the university's currentinterdisciplinary programs: American Studies, Black Studies, Environmental Studies,International Studies,Islamic World Studies, Judaic Studies,Latinx, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, Peace and Justice Studies, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.Qualifications:Ph.D in History required by time of appointment.Application Instruction:Apply
