Department Website .Job DescriptionThe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in the area of

High Frequency Electronics . Tenure-track faculty members are expected to develop an internationally recognized scholarly presence, an externally funded research program, collaborations in interdisciplinary research teams, effectively mentor graduate students, teach existing courses in our curriculum, and develop creative new curricula in areas of their interest or across disciplines. Candidates should envision a research and teaching program consistent with the College of Engineering's Strategic Plan. The appointment is expected to begin September 1, 2025. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.RequirementsApplicants must have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related fields by August 31, 2025. Applicants must demonstrate potential for scholarly excellence and technical innovation and must have interests and background relevant to the broadly defined area of high frequency electronics.Preferred QualificationsCandidates should have a demonstrated research expertise in high frequency electronics, including measurement and evaluation. Of particular interest is expertise in microwave, millimeterwave, or terahertz technology. Experience in integrated circuit design in silicon, non-silicon or heterogeneously integrated technologies would be a plus.
