Technical, supervisory and administrative work directing supervisory staff engaged in the operation and maintenance of the East Bank and West Bank Water Treatment Plants. Work includes ensuring that the plant and its operators comply with state health standards by regularly testing the water supply and keeping meticulous records. Work also includes participating in operational planning; and related duties as required.Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED issued by a state department of education.Current Class IV Water Treatment License issued by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.EITHER: Permanent status as a Water Treatment Supervisor and two (2) years of experience in that classification working under a personally held current Class IV Water Treatment License issued by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.OR: Two (2) years of related supervisory experience in a water purification plant working under a personally held current Class IV Water Treatment License issued by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.NOTE:

Some positions may require a current Louisiana Commercial Driver's License.APPLICATIONS:

Applicants will not receive credit for unpaid work unless specified on the job announcement. Partial credit only will be given for related part time employment. Civil Service reserves the right to determine which degrees, education, or other credentials are related or closely related. Experience credit will be granted for related provisional appointments (internal applicants).PROFESSIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE:
