The Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy (FWSOP) is seeking a full-time person to serve as the Director of the Longitudinal Patient Experience (LPE) and Introductory Practice Experiences (IPPEs). The person in this position is responsible for developing and overseeing the LPE program at the FWSOP. Responsibilities include establishing relationships with partnering clinical sites, creating and coordinating the LPE didactic course series, supervising students at the clinical sites, and evaluating student performance. The person in this position will also serve as the director/coordinator of Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs). The Director will spend 50% of their time directing the Longitudinal Patient Experience Program and 50% of their time coordinating IPPEs. This position reports to the Assistant/Associate Dean for Experiential Education.QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Pharm.D. with a minimum of 1-year post-graduate training (PGY1 residency, fellowship) or equivalent work experience is required. Additional post-graduate training (e.g., PGY2 residency, fellowship) and professional certifications (BCPS, CGP) are also highly preferred.Preference will be given to individuals with training in the following specialty areas: geriatrics and ambulatory care.Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.Experience/Training:

Eligible for Pharmacy licensure in North Carolina.Experience working with students as a faculty mentor or preceptor is strongly preferred.In-depth knowledge of experiential education is strongly preferred.Familiarity with Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) standards and accreditation requirements is strongly preferred.Experience or training in programmatic and practice site development is strongly preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Ability:

Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills.Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.Ability to deal with a varied group of people.Ability to write scholarly documents.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develop, coordinate, and teach content within the FWSOP LPE course series and the integrated curriculum.Serve as liaison between the FWSOP and the LPE clinical sites.Serve as the Director of IPPEs.Serve as liaison between FWSOP and IPPE clinical sites and recruit preceptors as needed.Oversee placement of students for all IPPE rotations and ensure all students complete all onboarding requirements.Serve as coordinator of record for all IPPE rotations and enter final course grades from the preceptor evaluations.Provide mentorship and advisement for students in the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy.Advance the service missions of the FWSOP and High Point University to meet community needs. Act as a representative and advocate for the department, both within the University and externally.Provide unique targeted clinical assistance when asked.Participate in committees within the School and University and participate in professional and governmental organizations as appointed by the Dean and/or Assistant/Associate Dean of Experiential Education.Abide by University and FWSOP policies.Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant/Associate Dean of Experiential Education.Utilize ExamSoft or other software provided by FWSOP to conduct all FWSOP assessments.ACCOUNTABILITY:
