We are looking for a pastry prep cook to support the Good Ambler team in producing laminated breakfast pastries, quick breads, baked goods, chocolate bonbons and bars, holiday confections, and more.

You will be responsible for completing all products associated with the designated station in an efficient manner while maintaining quality and the cleanliness of your workspace. This is a great position for someone who has some professional experience or has been to pastry school and is looking to hone many different skills.

Pastry shift is 7am - 5pm; baking shift is 5am-3pm. One weekend day a must. Open availability is a plus.

Duties may include:AM bake of croissants and breakfast pastries;Producing cookies, cakes, jams, custards, and other dessert components;Assisting team in chocolate production and packaging for holidays;Preparing and serving our cafe menu;Other related duties as assigned.All team members work to maintain kitchen cleanliness including doing dishes, taking out the trash, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing. We work as a team and jump in where needed!

Compensation:

Hourly range: $19-22, depending on experience, paid 30 min break per shift.

Skills:One year of pastry experience or pastry school required;Food handlers certification required;Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 30 hours a week;Ability to stand/walk for 10 hours per day;Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs;Will frequently be required to do repetitive movements like scoop cookie dough, spread doughs and batters, pipe macarons and fillings;Must be able to handle/tolerate potential allergens: peanuts, nuts, wheat, eggs, dairy, etc.
