Working with the Medical Coordinator and Patrol Supervisors, this role provides assistance in the ongoing training of Ski Patrollers in the specified areas of medical related topics and skills, including Advanced Life Support.Job Posting DeadlineApplications for this position will be accepted until October 1st, 2024.Essential Job FunctionsProvides medical training to all PatrollersManages inventory of medical supplies and assists with orderingMaintains accurate medical training recordsDaily trail maintenanceSupports and initiates positive interaction with guestsCare and transport of injured skiersAvalanche control and lift evacuation as neededPerform other duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsCurrent CPR and EMT certificationsExpert skier in all terrain in all snow conditionsAbility to work in adverse weather conditions for extended periods of timeComplete knowledge of the Skiers Safety Act regarding marking of ski area boundaries and trail closuresSupervision Given and ReceivedSupervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Supervision received: Works under limited supervision of the Patrol Director. Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing strategical methods to attain them.Work Environment and Physical Demands:Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance.
