The Job:

As a Senior Manager, Health & Safety, you’ll be part of our Corporate Responsibility Environmental Health & Safety team working as a remote employee. You’ll get to:

Develop, design, and implement comprehensive Health and Safety programs in accordance with local, national, international regulations, and best practices including but not limited to Hazard Communication, Industrial Hygiene, Contractor Safety, Confined Space, and Ergonomics.

Conduct regular assessments and program reviews (e.g. IH, ergonomics, etc.) to verify compliance and effectiveness of controls with health and safety regulations, EHS management system elements, and recommends appropriate improvement actions.

Develop health and safety training curriculum and content to support general awareness support delivery of regulatory required training.

Collaborate with cross functional teams within business units and functions including operations, engineering, and commercial field-based teams to ensure effective implementation of applicable health & safety programs.

Serve as a SME to support incident investigations to identify root cause and recommend robust corrective and preventative actions aligned to company policy and regulations.

Continuously monitor emerging regulations and evaluate effectiveness of programs/procedures tied to SBD policies, including focused audits and assessments, improvement plans, tracking completion of corrective actions, and perform risk trending analysis to inform broader enterprise actions.

Oversee strategic H&S projects with internal business units, operations, and Regional EHS partners to ensure alignment and accountability for performance and drive measurable improvements across the organization.

Participate in corporate EHS compliance assurance audits, as required, to assess the effectiveness of H&S programs and identify potential compliance gaps.

Assist in the development and implementation of corrective action plans to address audit findings and misalignment with EHS Management System.

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Professional certification in Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH).

8+ years of experience managing corporate Health and Safety programs with a focus on corporate program development, implementation and sustainment.

Strong Knowledge of local, national, and international Health and Safety regulations and standards.

Experience in managing Health and Safety programs in a matrixed global organization is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and partner effectively with EHS, BU, Operations and Engineering and other functional teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and proactive strategy development abilities.

Proven leadership skills and the ability to influence at various levels and drive change.

This position reports directly to the Director, Health and Safety COE, in a hybrid model, flexibility is required to respond to emergencies, domestic and international travel required at least 30%.
