Position:

The School of Accountancy (School) in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University seeks applications for two qualified tenure-track faculty members at the rank of Assistant Professor. While we are open to all areas of research and teaching, we especially encourage applications from those with teaching interests in tax, as well as business processes and controls. These nine-month positions are designed to support the School's degree programs in the College. The effective date of employment will be August 2025.Responsibilities:

Successful applicants will be expected to produce high-quality research, evidenced by publications in leading academic journals; to achieve teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and to provide appropriate service to the department, college, and university. The teaching load is commensurate with research expectations. In addition, candidates are expected to contribute to the collegial and intellectual environment of the department by working with other faculty members.Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a doctorate in accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution at the time employment begins. Successful candidates will demonstrate evidence of a commitment to the development of a strong record of scholarship and instructional excellence, and possess excellent written, organizational and communication skills. The School's faculty value its collegial and collaborative culture and look to build upon that strength. Successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of their initial appointment and be able to continue working legally for the duration of their employment.Special Instructions to Applicants:
