Doane University is seeking a dedicated and collaborative individual to join our Academic Advising team as an Academic Coordinator, serving both current and prospective students. This exciting role is primarily based on our Lincoln campus, with opportunities to serve students at other Doane locations.As an Academic Coordinator, you will:Advise undergraduate students with a special focus on nonresidential, online, adult, and nontraditional learners.Work closely with faculty and staff to support academic planning, course selection, and student retention to ensure timely graduation.Assist students in finding real-world learning opportunities such as internships, research, study abroad programs, and leadership experiences.Play a key role in onboarding new students into our nonresidential undergraduate and graduate programs.Collaborate with the enrollment team to meet with prospective students and discuss academic pathways.Serve as the Designated School Official for international students in our NonResidential programs, helping them navigate their educational journey.Act as a liaison for student organizations like Relay for Life and the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society.This position offers a dynamic environment where you’ll be an essential part of students’ success. Whether through one-on-one advising, collaborating with faculty, or connecting students to life-changing opportunities, you’ll make a meaningful impact.Minimum Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in higher education in a student-facing role such as advising, student affairs, career development, academic support, recruitment, or residence life.Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.Excellent organization and time-management abilities.Must be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a quick learner when it comes to university policies, procedures, and technology platforms.Ability to work independently with little supervision.Preferred Qualifications:Background in liberal arts and sciences.Working Conditions:This position will primarily be located on the NonResidential (Lincoln) campus but may serve on any Doane campus/location. Travel is required.Physical Requirements:Sedentary work, primarily exposed to indoor elements.Background Check Required:
