RELIGIOUS STUDIES, PART-TIME LECTURER POOL- The Philosophy Department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers. Positions are available as determined by need and funding during the Fall, Winter and/or Spring quarter of the 2024-2025 academic year, beginning September 16, 2024. Teaching assignments are contingent upon budget and enrollments. Responsibilities and duties may include teaching general education courses such as Abrahamic Religions, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Religion, Gender and Society.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSA Master's or ABD in Religious Studies is required. Demonstrable teaching at the college or university level.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPh.D. in Religious Studies preferred.SPECIAL CONDITIONSAll CSU employees are designated "mandated reporters" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act. As a condition of your employment, you will be required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 and any subsequent amendments.Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
