Job Description:

The Department of Business Administration at Trinity University invites applications for two positions of Assistant Professor of Marketing, effective August 2025. The position requires a Doctoral Degree in Marketing or closely related field, Ph.D. or A.B.D. preferred, from an AACSB accredited institution. A successful applicant will demonstrate an appreciation of Trinity's general education requirements with its emphasis on experiential learning, community engagement, and global awareness. The ideal candidate would have established experience in teaching undergraduate marketing courses, particularly in Principles of Marketing. One position will also be expected to teach Marketing Research (with an emphasis on Marketing Analytics), while the other will be expected to teach Integrated Marketing Communications and/or Digital Marketing. Additional teaching assignments in International or other areas of Marketing may be assigned depending on the candidate's qualifications and the department's needs. Successful candidates will exhibit documented excellent recent teaching evaluations, potential for impactful research, and proven interest in pedagogical innovation, contribute to the University's general curriculum, and provide service to the department and University.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach a total of nine contact hours per semester beginning fall 2025 to support the curricular needs of the department and Neidorff School of Business. Primary teaching responsibility is in the area of undergraduate Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research (with a Marketing Analytics emphasis), Integrated Marketing Communications, and/or Digital Marketing with a willingness to teach International Marketing and other teaching assignments as needed;

Develop relationships with local and regional organizations in the marketing area;

Conduct scholarly research or engage in other forms of professional development sufficient to maintain AACSB Scholarly Active (SA) faculty qualification;

Participate in departmental, school, and university service or events.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Required:

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or DBA degree (or ABD) in Marketing or a closely related field from a program accredited by AACSB.

EXPERIENCE

Preferred:

Evidence of commitment to high-quality classroom performance;

Understanding of the Trinity mission with an interest in interdisciplinary teaching and engagement;

Demonstrated collegiality, respect, and empathy for the inclusion of diverse stakeholders.
