If you want to be a Difference Maker, Renewal by Andersen is the place for you.SUMMARY:While taking direction from plant management, coordinates the development and hands-on implementation of a comprehensive industrial safety and environmental program for an Andersen business unit. Ensures alignment with Enterprise Safety and Environmental Services objectives and conducts awareness and training with a goal to achieve continuous improvement for the reduction of work-related injuries/illnesses, and related cost reduction strategies. Ensure strong environmental compliance and achieve compliance obligations with applicable safety, health standards, and environmental regulations.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in the development and coordination of Andersen’s Safety and Environmental programs to achieve and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations.Provide and/or coordinate site specific safety and environmental training/testing as necessary and/or directed by Enterprise Safety and Environmental, or Plant Management.Work with site manufacturing engineering to conduct safety assessments of new or modified equipment/processes.Create/customize detailed safety programs/procedures to meet site specific environment as needed and ensure availability of PPE.Assist in the completion of any environmental tasks, inspections, and other environmental regulatory tasks as directed.Conduct ergonomic assessments to identify risk factors and work with engineering to implement control measures.Support location safety and environmental assessments (e.g., audits, inspections, accident investigations, etc.) and recommend corrective actions.Participate in coordination of plant safety committee and routine Enterprise Environmental calls and training.Accurately maintain plant safety and environmental data and training records in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 2 years of safety experience.Knowledge of government regulations concerning health, safety & the environment.Demonstrated project management skills.Strong service orientation.Strong interpersonal/communication (verbal and written) skills.Must be able to work independently, with minimal direction.NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:Master's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety.ASP, GSP, CSP Certification.Strong Environmental skills and program management experience.CULTURE AND BENEFITS:“Be Orange.
