Godfrey Care requires a Deputy Home Manager with proven experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, Autism and challenging behaviour. The successful individual will lead and deliver the specialist care and support required, supervising a busy staff team and delivering exceptional service.

Dorset Drive provides 24-hour residential care. Our home is built on the belief that we are here to ensure we can provide an outstanding service for each individual. Each resident will have a key care worker who will provide them with individual support and guidance throughout the day.

We are looking for experienced caring individuals to join our team of Staff at a new home opening in November to deliver 1-1 support to young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs/challenging behaviour. We are looking to recruit staff in preparation for the opening of the service, therefore we are looking at potential start dates for late September. The Residents will have varying degrees of learning disabilities, Autism, Sensory impairments and challenging behaviours. Support Staff will be promoting independence and supporting them to lead a fulfilling life while keeping the Residents, themselves and others safe at all times.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Manager who is passionate about people and wants to make a difference. As Deputy Manager, you will be supporting the Manager with strategic leadership of the home, with responsibility for day-to-day management duties such as client care, staffing, finance, administration, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, and the company's Quality Assurance System.

The ideal Deputy Manager will have:

Broad experience of managing people, service and quality within a learning disabilities environment

A high level of personal integrity towards providing a high standard of service

Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Good awareness of CQC legislation, updates, changes and best practice

A good understanding of commercial principles and practices

Minimum NVQ Level 3

4+ years in Health & social care sector

2+ years working with Learning disability

2+ years working with challenging behaviour

1+ years working in a leadership role (i.e., senior/ team leader etc)

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure which will be completed upon successful application.
