Sous Chef Overview:As the Sous Chef, you will support the successful operation of the Culinary Department. Your responsibilities include supervising, preparing, and cooking various food items, developing daily menus, and overseeing their presentation. You may also supervise hourly associates and collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and ordering. This is a great opportunity for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and expenditures.Help plan and create menus.Lead the execution of catering events.Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.Preferred Qualifications:A.S. degree or equivalent experience.Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.Catering experience is a plus.High-volume, complex foodservice experience is highly desirable.Institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful.Strong knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and internet use.Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs.ServSafe certification is highly desirable.Apply to Bon Appetit today!Bon Appetit is a member of Compass Group USA.Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.Req ID:
