Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Image Quality Scientist with a minimum of 15 years of hands-on expertise in algorithm development for CT medical imaging processing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CT image quality assessment and extensive experience in medical image processing using Matlab and Python. This role is dedicated to advancing the field of medical imaging, with a strong focus on deep learning, machine learning, computer tomography, digital image processing, and the creation of various digital model observers.

Responsibilities:

Algorithm Development:

Lead the development of advanced algorithms in C/C++ for CT medical imaging processing to enhance image quality and diagnostic accuracy.

CT Image Quality Assessment:

Apply your profound understanding of CT image quality assessment to optimize image acquisition and analysis.

Medical Image Processing:

Demonstrate expertise in medical image processing using Matlab and Python to extract valuable information from medical images.

Digital Model Observers:

Create and develop different types of digital model observers for evaluating and improving image quality.

Deep Learning and Machine Learning:

Utilize deep learning and machine learning techniques to improve image analysis and interpretation.

Digital Image Processing:

Apply digital image processing techniques, including filters and image manipulation, to enhance signal-to-noise ratios and image quality.

Computer Science:

Leverage your strong understanding of computer science principles to develop efficient and robust algorithms.

Pattern Recognition:

Apply pattern recognition to detect and analyze patterns within medical images.

Tableau Software:

Utilize Tableau software for data visualization and presentation of results.

Software Development:

Program software applications in C/C++ and Python for medical imaging pattern recognition.

3D Computational Geometry:

Apply 3D computational geometry techniques to analyze and manipulate volumetric medical image data.

Machine Learning and AI:

Demonstrate proficiency in applied machine learning, artificial intelligence, and artificial neural networks for image analysis.

Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in algorithm development for CT medical imaging processing.

Extensive understanding of CT image quality assessment and medical image processing.

Proficiency in Matlab and Python for data analysis and image processing.

Strong background in deep learning, machine learning, and computer tomography.

Expertise in digital image processing and the creation of digital model observers.

In-depth knowledge of computer science principles and pattern recognition.

Experience with Tableau software for data visualization.

Programming skills in C/C++, Python, Matlab, and other relevant languages.

While a background in biomedical engineering or related fields is highly considered, candidates from other STEM areas with the requisite skills are encouraged to apply.
