Research Scientist

Innovision is seeking a mid to senior level research scientist to join our research and development team. The person in this position will perform R&D in the areas of digital human modeling, patient digital twin, and digital health technologies. The duties of the position include developing methods, algorithms, software tools, and systems to model human physical, physiological, and cognitive features, characteristics, and performance. Other duties include documenting work, preparing technical reports, publishing technical papers, presenting and demonstrating technical work, and writing proposals. The person should be self-motivated and a good team player and have the potential to become a team leader.Job DutiesThe job duties of this position include but are not limited to : (a) Building digital human models using various software tools, such as Blender, Unity, OpenSim, and Pulse Engine; (b) Developing and implementing methods and algorithms of computer vision and machine learning; (c) Programing and coding in Matlab, C++, Java, and Python; (d) Software design, development, integration, transitioning, testing, and validation; (e) Documenting work and preparing technical reports and user manuals; and (f) Demonstrating computer programs and/or software systems and communicating with customers and users.RequirementsA master degree (Ph.D. preferred) in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, or other related majors.Working knowledge and experience of finite element analysis and related software tools (e.g., Ls-Dyna) and multi-rigid body dynamics and related software tools (e.g., OpenSim).Working knowledge and experience of computational modeling and simulation (e.g., modeling and simulation of human body shape, motion, performance, and activity).Working knowledge and practical skills of computer vision, shape analysis, motion analysis, and machine learning.Strong ability of software development, with at least 3 years of working experience and practical skills, being proficient in Matlab, C++, and Python.Effective English communication ability, both verbally and in writing.Additional Preferred QualificationsKnowledge and experience with modeling and animation tools and techniques (e. g., Motion Builder, Blender, 3dsMax, Maya, HyperMesh, MeshLab, and Unity).Knowledge and experience with Matlab toolboxes (e.g., optimization, image processing, computer vision, parallel computing, and deep learning).Knowledge and experience with machine learning and computer vision software tools, such as TensorFlow and OpenCV.Technical publications and other technical achievements.
