Since 1984, Larkin Street Youth Services has helped more than 75,000 young adults in San Francisco with outreach, shelter, housing, education, employment, healthcare, and other services.Today, Larkin Street Youth Services is the largest provider of housing and services to homeless youth in the Bay Area. Receptionist

is responsible for screening visitors, maintaining the space and image of the reception area, and coordinating coverage of the entry and client service reception area, along with other minor activities at the reception area of the building.This is a full-time position, eligible for full benefits.Your responsibilities:Maintaining the safety of the site as well as providing ongoing administrative support and communication to the assistant manager, program manager, and building manager.Monitors the entrance of clients and staff, answers the facility telephone, maintains administration/reception desk and files, and performs data entry.Screens all visitors to confirm that they are eligible clients or authorized guests of building employees.Ensures visitors are escorted by staff at all times.Greet clients and visitors and direct them to the appropriate person(s).Assist in the maintenance of facility supplies.Responds to emergencies as needed.Fills out incident reports as needed.Reports violations of House Rules or Program Guidelines.Oversees and assists in coordinating coverage at front entry and lobby to ensure absolute security and cleanliness.Provides information to residents, visitors and applicants concerning building and program regulations.Working Location:

This role could be based at the Drop-In Center (134 Golden Gate Avenue) OR at one of our 16 housing sites. You have some social services and/or direct-service experience.

You have experience working in drop-in services, shelter, transitional, and/or permanent supportive housing programs.

You are most excited to serve Transitional Aged Youth (TAY), aged 18 to 25 of diverse backgrounds.You are a self-starter and team player. This role is 100% onsite/in person.You are willing to work holidays occasionally.You are vaccinated against COVID-19.THE PERKS:Hourly Rate of $25.00

+$1.50 for bilingual incentive pay. Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
