Xavier University, an AACSB accredited university, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Business Analytics. We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong background in analytics programming, data mining, optimization, data visualization, and database management. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, research, and service to the academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

Deliver high-quality undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Business Analytics, including but not limited to programming for analytics, data mining, optimization, data visualization, and database management.

Research:

Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputable academic journals.

Service:

Contribute to the department, college, and university through committee work, curriculum development, and engagement in professional organizations.

Student Mentorship:

Mentor and advise students.

Program Development:

Assist in developing new courses and programs to meet the evolving needs of the business analytics field.

Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Operations Research, or a related field by the start of employment.

Demonstrated excellence in teaching, preferably at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Strong technical skills and relevant work experience in topics such as programming for analytics, data mining, optimization, data visualization, and database management.

A strong track record or potential for high-quality research and publication in relevant areas.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse academic community.
