Job Description:
The Sukenik lab is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to lead efforts linking ensemble structure to function in intrinsically disordered proteins. The work will involve the development of new, high-throughput experimental methods to profile structure and function of disordered proteins in pooled experiments.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell biology or closely related field is required. Prior publication record in computational protein biophysics is required.
Job Specific Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biophysics, molecular biology, or similar fields. Expertise includes but is not limited to protein expression and purification, cell and tissue culture, cloning, and next-gen sequencing. A good candidate should also have strong verbal and written communication skills, be a strong and collegial team player, embrace open science policies including preprint publications, and be enthusiastic about learning new skills and methods.
Responsibilities:
Design, execute, and analyze experiments
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students
Write manuscripts and fellowships, design posters, and assist in grant writing
Attend conferences and workshops
