As the Resort Program and Activities Manager at Edgewood Tahoe, you serve as the guest liaison for both hotel and non-hotel activity-based services. As a manager, you will have several direct reports, and that team size can fluctuate during the seasons. Direct reports can include activities coordinator, activities ambassadors, pool attendants during the summer months, ski concierge, and winter snowshoe guides in the winter months. With those teams, you will manage seasonal watersports, wellness, boat rental, ice skating, Ski Ambassador, snow-shoe experience, and other year-round activities. You will also be responsible for developing and supporting various on and off-property activities along with select vendor relationships. Having previous exposure to contract services and managing third-party activity-based vendors is an important component of the job. A background in food and beverage operations is a definite plus.A successful candidate must possess a strong eye for detail, excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to work within tight deadlines, and be comfortable working independently. Reimagine luxury hospitality with us.Essential Functions:Work with the Director of Guest Experiences to curate and deliver 5 Star guest experiences.Manage and train several small teams that work closely, efficiently, and seamlessly with other guest services teams.Work with Group, Wedding, and Leisure sales teams to offer specialized activity offerings for select guests.Partner with marketing to ensure activity calendars and programming are accurate and properly presented in various forms, including website and printed collateral.Develop training and onboarding for all new activities team members.Grow the Activities teams by establishing resourcing needs, standards, and operating models.Oversee payroll, scheduling, training, and budgeting of the department.Build rapport with guests as well as understand guests’ needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities provided by the hotel.Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises and the nearby venues and businesses to make the most suitable recommendations.Stay current and up to date with all hotel services as well as special events.Stay up to date with Lake Tahoe activity-based vendors and their offerings.Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.Handle guest recovery and solve problems.Other duties as assigned.
