Job SummaryWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Worship Leader to guide our congregation in worship through music and worship leadership at our 10:30 AM Sunday gathering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music, excellent communication skills, and a heart for worship and congregational life. This role is crucial in creating an engaging worship experience that fosters community and faith development.Responsibilities
Lead contemporary worship services by selecting appropriate songs and arrangements that align with the church's mission and vision.Mentor and educate team members, providing guidance in musical skills and best practices in worship leadership.Collaborate with pastoral staff ensuring a cohesive message and experience for the congregation.Communicate effectively with the worship team, staff, volunteers, and church members to foster a positive environment.Organize rehearsals, ensuring all musicians are prepared and confident for services.Engage with the congregation during services to encourage participation and create an uplifting atmosphere.Stay current with contemporary worship trends while respecting traditional practices when appropriate.Requirements
Proven experience in leading worship within a church or similar setting.Strong musical proficiency (vocal and instrumental) with the ability to lead as an ensemble or solo.Excellent leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing team members with an eye towards excellence.Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people and utilize "Planning Center" software.An understanding of the importance of worship and the ability to work with others within a healthy environment--no drama.Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the ministry and congregation.We invite individuals who are passionate about leading others in worship to apply for this fulfilling role within our community.Job Type:
