ASSISTANT PROFESSOR / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / PROFESSOR - CLINICAL, FORENSIC PSYCHIATRY (REVISED)

The Department of Psychiatry of the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) School of Medicine in New Orleans is seeking candidates for 2 academic faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track) to provide Forensic Psychiatry services, care, and treatment. This is an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of nationally respected evolving mental health programs. The position includes an opportunity to serve in a leadership role for the Forensic Section and Fellowship Program for candidates with leadership experience, as well as excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The position may also include some involvement in undergraduate medical education, as well as psychiatry resident and fellowship training programs.Minimum Qualifications

Required Education:

MD or equivalent, Completion of Psychiatry residencyCertifications/Licenses Required:

Licensed to practice in Louisiana before hire datePreferred Education:

Forensic Psychiatry FellowshipCertifications/Licenses Preferred:

Board Certified or Eligible in PsychiatryPreferred Experience:
