Position Overview:

The HSSE Manager educates and enforces compliance-related policies and procedures and safety/environmental requirements across the vessel fleet.

Position Expectations:

Timely and efficiently schedule assigned safety & compliance audits, both internal and external.

Timely respond to, schedule, and complete USCG compliance inspections.

Timely and accurately document all audits/inspections in Helm CONNECT and ensure all non-conformities and deficiencies discovered during the audits are resolved in a timely manner with documented corrective action plans.

Efficiently and effectively manage, track, and record internal and external vessel and office audits.

Attend internal and external vessel and office audits.

Accurately maintain Helm audit database and compliance forms.

Effectively maintain all compliance-related vessel and office documents and certifications including: USCG Certifications, Safety Management Certificates for vessels, EPIRB certifications, Vessel registrations.

Travel required to attend vessel/office inspections and audits as directed by the Compliance Director.

Assist Operations Department daily as needed to ensure all vessels remain ready for service.

Work across departmental lines to develop processes and procedures as needed.

Manage the Corrective Action process in Helm CONNECT for all audit/inspection findings.

Collaborate effectively with other ENB teams where processes and procedures overlap.

Required Education:

High School Diploma

Required Experience:

Minimum 8+ years of marine experience specific to vessel operations, safety/compliance, vessel audits/inspections.

Work Environment:

This position works both in an office setting and frequently on floating vessels.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom, to climb ladders, and to lift and carry 25-50 lbs. There may be exposure to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels, and potentially hazardous equipment.

Travel Requirements:

Frequent travel between Louisiana and Florida to host vessel audits and inspections.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, answering occasional after-hour phone calls.
