The University is committed to providing access and ensuring student success, and to a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercialization of discoveries by our community of scholars.Job SummaryAssists with the evaluation, review, selection, adaptation, and modification of standards, techniques, procedures, and criteria for public water systems design for the Plan and Technical Review Section of the Water Supply Division of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists in the review of requests for exceptions to public water system design standards. Reviews and evaluates design and performance data and applies regulations. Prepares reports and correspondence to record decisions.Completes/participates in special projects and technical training as assigned by management.Provides assistance to senior staff as requested.Provides general technical assistance to entities.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in data analysis, environmental quality management, environmental science, natural resources, engineering, public utilities, business administration, or related field; and six (6) months of work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsOne (1) year experience in data analysis, environmental quality management, public utilities, business administration, or related fields.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSolid working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word and Excel; and PC’s.Skill in organization; attention to details; determining proper courses of action; performing basic data entry skills; and managing time and assignments to meet deadlines.Ability to integrate complex concepts, procedures, and processes and communicate verbally with clients, customers, coworkers.Ability to draft routine correspondence, reports, documents, policy, procedures, case narratives, or prepare other lengthy documents via handwritten or use of technology.Other RequirementsWorking Conditions:Standard office environment.Job activities include but not limited to sitting, standing, lifting and carrying batches of paper up to 10 lbs.
