EPP group is growing in the Pacific Northwest and is seeking a

Senior level Environmental Planner

to join our team. Successful candidates would join our diverse team to engage with our expanding pool of public and private sector clients to complete environmental compliance processes and documentation. The primary work location is Portland, Oregon or Seattle, Washington.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Serve as Project Manager or Technical Lead, including preparation of scopes of work and cost estimates, financial and budgetary management, resource allocation and scheduling, and management of subcontractors.Manage environmental planning projects, including leadership of broad and diverse technical teams while meeting cost, schedule, safety, and quality objectives.Provide leadership through development of innovative and progressive project solutions.Lead proposal development with marketing support staff, and anticipate, track, and obtain new task orders from existing clients.Provide advice, mentor, and enhance the professional development of other members of our team.QualificationsBachelor's degree in environmental planning, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Planning, Natural/Biological Resource Management or other related field experience.6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in successfully supporting permitting and environmental impact analysis documents and associated technical studies and oversight of federal (National Environmental Policy Act [NEPA]) and state-specific (Washington State Environmental Policy Act [SEPA]), and local environmental permitting and compliance documents.Valid U.S Driver's license is required.Preferred Skills and Experience:10 years of relevant environmental planning experience.Demonstrated expertise in leading environmental planning and permitting efforts associated with the Pacific Northwest.Knowledge of and experience applying the policies, standards, and regulations of County and municipal land use in Oregon and Washington.Demonstrated leadership in the preparation of NEPA, SEPA, and/or CEQA environmental documents.Demonstrated expertise in assembling federal and state permit applications packages to support project implementation.Ability and experience understanding, interpreting, explaining, and applying all applicable regulations, policies, procedures, and standards to complex, specialized, and diverse land use planning processes or development proposals.Ability and experience performing analysis of land use implications of project design alternatives and recommending or adopting effective courses of action.Experience in consulting and interest in business development and client engagement.Excellent written and spoken communication skills, organizational and time management skills, and flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects.Additional InformationDue to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
