The Department actively recruits students from diverse backgrounds and encourages applications from individuals whose backgrounds or interests align with this commitment to diversity and inclusion.Duties of the PositionResponsibilities may include teaching both lecture and lab courses in the Biology curriculum, primarily in lower division courses. There may be opportunities to teach upper division courses as needed and qualified. Courses include, but are not limited to: Biological Inquiry, Introduction to Biology, Medical Microbiology, Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology.Professional QualificationsTo be recommended for appointment, the candidate must have:An advanced degree in Biology or a Ph.D. in a closely related field.Demonstrated teaching experience in college-level biology courses.Preferred Criteria:A Ph.D. in a biological disciplineResearch experience in a field directly related to the subject matterRank and SalaryFull-time is a 15-unit workload per semester.
