The department offers courses leading to a B.A. degree in Art History and B.A. and B.F.A. degrees in Studio Art, as well as a minor in Museum and Gallery Methods.Duties of the PositionApplicants for the Art Studio courses will be expected to teach one or more of the following Studio Art courses:PaintingDrawingPrintmakingPhotographySculptureCeramics2D Fundamentals3D FundamentalsProfessional QualificationsTo be recommended for appointment, the candidate must have the following requirements for Art Studio courses:MFA or an equivalent degree within the area they are applying (example: MFA in Sculpture).Two years, teaching courses similar to those described at the college level (not including T.A. experience).Strong record of exhibition on the regional and national levels.Professional and technical experience in studio art, and experience in preparing students in art theory, critical discourse practice, and contemporary art.Rank and SalaryFull-time is a 15-unit workload per semester. Actual salary is dependent upon the number of units assigned, educational preparation, and availability of funds.
