is seeking a

Part-Time Teacher's Assistant

- responsible for providing support in carrying out viable educational programs for children, including involvement in all aspects of the parent toddler playgroup, classroom, and support services, with oversight from the Lead Teacher and other interdisciplinary staff.Boyer Children's Clinic provides medical, therapy, special education and family services to infants and young children with cerebral palsy and other developmental delays and their families. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSet up, implement, and clean up daily classroom activities.Assist in interaction with children including positioning, handling, transporting, feeding, and toileting children.Assist with student arrival and departure.Assist in planning, preparation, and maintenance of classroom materials.Participate, when appropriate, in staffing & team meetings, inservices, business meetings, and other meetings.Provide child supervision as needed and assist with classroom attendance records.Maintain classroom kitchen in clean order, run laundry, and maintain supplies.Other duties as assigned.Education & ExperienceEducational requirements include a High School Diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).Previous related experience of six months or more is required.An equivalent combination of the education and experience listed above is acceptable.Required Skills & AbilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams applications.Ability to work with and embrace a diverse population, recognizing needs and focusing on Boyer’s overall mission.Ability to adapt and adjust based on the needs of the children, group, and caregivers.Action-oriented and solution-oriented with superior attention to detail.Ability to express self effectively, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual skills are a plus.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to earn trust and communicate, both in writing and verbally, at all levels and disciplines within and outside the organization.BenefitsWe give you an exceptionally structured orientation with a ramp-up schedule to assist you.We offer schedule flexibility and a supportive, team-oriented workplace.We offer 403(b) Plan, sick leave accrual for every hour worked, vacation days based on length of service and accrual for hours worked, three weeks’ paid program closures, 13 paid holidays, four paid Wellness Days, three days paid bereavement leave, and up to two weeks paid jury duty leave (unpaid leave beyond two weeks if needed), and monthly cell phone reimbursement.Compensation$18.69 - $24.48 per hour, depending on experience.Work Environment, Physical Demands & Travel RequirementsThe work environment for this position is a combination of a typical office environment and a typical preschool environment. The physical demands for this position require the employee to use computers and sit/stand in the office environment. In the preschool environment, physical demands require the employee to regularly use hands to pick up toys and objects; regularly reach with hands and arms; regularly sit on the floor, stoop, kneel, and crouch; regularly talk and hear; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds (the average size of a three-year-old child). Vision requirements include close vision.Travel requirements include the ability to transport oneself to appointments or between offices as necessary, on a daily basis. Must possess a valid Washington State Drivers’ license and automobile insurance if driving a vehicle.Loan ForgivenessIf you are employed by a nonprofit or government and have student loan debt through the William D.
