We are seeking a

Nurse Training Coordinator & Protocol Specialist

who will spearhead efforts at the STD/HIV Prevention Training Center at JH Bayview. The coordinator will assist with the provision of training and technical assistance projects within the Division of Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Under the supervision of the Program Administrator, the Nurse Training Coordinator & Protocol Specialist for the STD/HIV PTC is responsible for providing intensive technical assistance to clinical programs supported by this project, which supports the scale-up of regional sexual health services in STD Specialty Clinics across the United States. The position is responsible for providing technical assistance to programs within the region of STD/HIV PTC at Johns Hopkins and may provide technical assistance to programs within the national auspices of the National Network of Clinical Prevention Training Centers.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreation of customizable clinic protocols for a variety of clinic services, including but not limited to STI Express Testing, Nurse-Led PrEP care, Rapid PrEP, and nPrEP.Development of customizable clinic workflows to improve patient care coordination and linkage.Creation of customizable Nursing/MA Standing Orders for clinical program implementation.Creation and editing of HIV Prevention Best Practices Toolkit for distribution/use at all clinical sites regionally.Provide technical assistance and education/training to clinical partners and clinic staff regarding best practices and protocol implementation.Potential presentation on PTC programmatic data at conferences and PTC trainings, both regional and national.Maintain awareness of current STI, HIV, and PrEP guidelines.Attend PTC meetings and conferences as applicable.Represent STD/HIV PTC at Johns Hopkins at national conferences as applicable.Minimum QualificationsMust be a registered nurse, licensed in the State of Maryland or state where practicing.Bachelor's degree in nursing or related discipline required.Two years of related experience.Preferred QualificationsAbility to work with culturally diverse patients, staff, and community populations.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting.Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail and follow-through.Classified Title: Nurse Training CoordinatorJob Posting Title (Working Title): Nurse Training Coordinator & Protocol SpecialistRole/Level/Range: ACRP/04/MFStarting Salary Range: $38.51 - $67.53 HRLY ($105,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)Employee group: Casual / On CallSchedule: flexibleExempt Status: ExemptLocation: RemoteDepartment name: SOM DOM Bay Infectious DiseasePersonnel area: School of Medicine
